Fall in Northern Utah is a Vibe that shouldn't be Missed! 

To say that Fall in Northern Utah is Magical is an understatement. From leaf peeping and corn mazes, to apple picking and beer fests, there's something to keep everyone excited about the cooler crisp air. 

1. Night Lights Sky Lantern Festival

Located at Desert Peak Complex in Grantsville, UT

After sunset we come together to releasee our lanterns togethere, at the same time. Seeing thousands of lanterns right above your head is a magical and spiritual experience that you have to see fully to understand.

2. Fall Farmer's Market on Historic 25th Street

The Fall Farmer's Market features fresh harvests from farmers who travel from all over Northern Utah to share their produce. It also features local artisans, craftspeople, flower arrangers, pumpkin spice latte brewers and much more. The perfect place to show off your new scarf and to get some early holiday shopping done. The market opens at 9 a.m. and runs until 2 p.m. 

3. SnowWiesen Oktoberfest at Snowbasin

It's not the alps but it can be just as fun! Experience Oktoberfest in Utah’s mountains at the stunning Snowbasin Resort. Inspired by Germany's d'Wiesn, there will be Bavarian cuisine, craft beer, live music, and a local market. 

Entry requires a ticket or Snowbasin season pass. Ticket options start at $10. You can purchase them online and print at the kiosks. So dust off your lederhosen and get ready to munch on some Schnitzel.

4. Corn Maze at Green Acres Dairy

Whether you prefer to navigate your corn maze Haunted or not, Green Acres has it all. From pumpkin picking and wagon rides to petting animals and eating delicious festival food and their giant slide you can spend hours being entertained here. 

5. Ogden's Dia De Los Muertos 

During Ogden Dia De Los Muertos, locals decorate alters, cook delicious Hispanic food, and welcome and honor the souls of their loved ones lost. Art and music will be plentiful at this multicultural event! It's a free event, and takes place at Ben Lomond High School. Take the whole family and learn about the history of Halloween-type holidays, and how other culutures celebrate their ancestors. 

6.  Scenic Drives and Peeping the Changing Colors of the Fall Leaves

Ogden River Scenic Byway (S.R. 39)

Heading east from Ogden, it’s incredible how dense and varied the foliage gets along this scenic drive within minutes from the metropolitan area. Most color-seekers will travel along the Ogden River Scenic Byway for 44 miles to the eastern boundary of the Wasatch-Cache National Forest at the Monte Cristo Campground. This jaunt passes through narrow canyons, an expansive and beautiful valley, and some fine mountain meadows and forest.

Logan Canyon National Scenic Byway (U.S. Route 89)

This scenic drive in Utah is a great route for taking in the season of harvest. Traveling through Cache Valley, this agricultural area has undeveloped terrain, old farms and the painterly aesthetic of the harvest season. From Logan, the 41-mile scenic byway runs alongside the Logan River until it peaks at an elevation of 7,800 feet at a vista overlooking the turquoise waters of Bear Lake — often nicknamed “the Caribbean of the Rockies” — before descending into Garden City.

7.  Apple Picking

 This MacFarland Family Farms, Day Farms, and Cedar Crest Farms are just a few options for picking your own fresh apples. Having grown up on an apple farm myself, I know the possibilites are endless. Fresh apple pie, dehydrated apples, fresh applesauce, bottling, and fresh pressed apple juice are just a few delicious ideas for those crisp fall apples.
